I had change taken once. my actual good stuff away from em. Im lucky that it was on the change side. Otherwise my phone and wallet would have been stolen.
The easiest one for them to do is the hug. With the hug they have all 4 of your jean pockets and jacket pockets. Also too the ppl worried about guns, if you see one run away. Your wallet of course ain’t worth your life. Use common sense.
Happened to me once - classic somebody stumbled before me, another one bumped into me. Luckily I had no wallet - and people keep asking, why I, a grown ass man, run around with a childrens breast pouch. Nobody (not absolutely dedicated) graps this one under aprox. 3 layers of clothing.
Saw it happen at a concert except this lady saw it and grabbed this dude by the hoodie with all her strength and said you took my phone. Concerts are hard though because 30 people will be squished around you
If you would do 'anything', then you could do something to cause yourself brain damage and in turn short term memory loss, then you can watch it for the first time as many times as you want.. Don't say you'd do anything when you wouldn't, in future, try 'there's not much I wouldn't do to...' to avoid getting called out by fuckwitts like myself.
@Just Skipp while you were talking he stole your watch he stole your house he stole your dog he stole your favorite pair of slippers he stole your identity he stole your sense of self he stole what life you had left and most importantly he stole your heart. You got played bucko, better luck next time
Wow. So you really aren’t aware then. No way a man can remove a watch from me without me noticing. Second. If a man asks me if I have realized that he may have taken my wallet Id have asked him whether he wants 1 or 2.
I'm honestly confident that a guy like this would fail to take my watch because of how the latch works and also I keep my wallet in my front pocket with other things. edit: then again these guys specifically target people who have certain visible things like that kind of watch clasps, so I probably don't know what I'm talking about
Dude tucked his thumb in, he was ready to let go of his wristwatch. If someone asked me to check my wallet while they were holding onto my watch, I'd just pull straight down and take his hand with me.
Exactly! The guy has both hands on the watch and pulling and pushing on the arm. (which is to hide the unlocking of the watch strap) At that point you have to be suspicious of what's happening with the watch
@Anarkizt I went and rewatched the explanation (it's at the end of the pickpocketing wallets episode) to double check, and I forgot the best part, which is that he never actually pickpockets Jason, Jason actually handed over his wallet so the guest could "position" the wallet in his pocket, then the guest just "positioned" the decoy and kept the real wallet!
@WatchMeSayStuffNot really its the proof of a genuine pick pocket. He says it in the video. Thats the point. He obviously wouldn't ask an actual mark did you notice i stole your wallet. This was the demonstration
I remember watching this a while back and being insanely impressed by this guy, he’s truly skilled and I’d love to learn to be this quick with my hands
My favorite kinds of tricks are when they go "this is what I'm doing, just really fast" you watch it, and you still can't figure it out, or they pull something else on you while you're staring.
Thats why I use a rubber strap with quad deployment with double rubber sleeves. Each sleeve holds the closed deployment to the inside of the strap on each side. So youd have to wiggle both sleeves off the closed deployment, then get the over tongue clear, then press the button to open the clasp, unfold each half of the clasp and have me slide my hand out all without feeling anything.
I remember using the bus system in Mexico and felt someone trying to pick pocket me on the bus. For a split second I thought about turning and confronting them, but got the feeling they might have been armed with a weapon so just played dumb like I didn’t know what was going on. Well, might have been the right call because they gave up after a second or two. Reason why I didn’t get my wallet stolen was because I used my front pocket in the pants. Just a tip if you are in areas high in thieves.
If someone ever approaches you, and tells you there are pickpockets in the area, do not check your pockets near them. They (or someone else) may be watching, to see where you keep your wallet.
Its true, pickpocketing is a very complex art of social engineering. You can’t help but respect just how much these people know about body language and misdirection.
Keep everything you have in front pockets. Never put anything in the back ones. Like a lot of women do with their phones having half of it just hanging out
The back two pockets in any pair of pants may as well be called the pickpockets, because they make it absurdly easy to rob you blind without you knowing it until you get home.
These are the only kinds of tricks I respect. Stealing is art if done correctly. I've always thought slight of hand was really fascinating and wished I could do it. I'm sure I could learn but I don't need to now lol
Jason: "This isn't my wallet" I know, this is! This is also your watch, James. Jason: "my name's Jason" No, I'm Jason! you are James, switched at birth, raised as Jason to have your true identity revealed at this point.
